Wild about Bath Photography Competition 2024 – THE WINNERS!
There was a good range of photographs including nature scenes, plants, flowers, animals including insects and birds. Fungi was often featured, and slow worms made an appearance once again. Many photos were high quality and reflected local biodiversity and the wonder of nature.
The competition attracted interest from people of all ages and generated good discussion about the value of local natural habitats. The judges (a zoologist, a biologist, and an art teacher) had to make some hard decisions when deciding which were the winning photos.
Simon Stuart from WAB gave a brief talk about WAB and what it’s all about- that is encouraging people to connect with nature in the local area (with our many and varied events) and to encourage gardening that’s good for wildlife and therefore good for us all.
