Winners of the Wild about Bath Photo Competition 2025!

Wild about Bath Photography Competition 2025 – THE WINNERS!

Thank you to all the people who submitted photographs to this year’s competition. We were amazed and delighted by the number of photos this year and the brilliant standard of them. There were 9 photos in the children’s category, 6 in the youth and 100 photos in the adult. The public came along this afternoon to view the photos and enjoy afternoon tea. They also had the chance to listen to three short talks – one from the Charlcombe Toad Patrol, another from a local man who keeps solitary bees and Simon spoke about all the WAB walks & events this year.
Our three wonderful judges studied the photos, discussed things between themselves and had the difficult job of choosing the winners. A huge congratulations to all the winners – there were many as there had been so many good photos. Ann Stuart won first prize in the adult category with her photo “Poppy Heads & Genetic Diversity”; Nigel Batterick won the People’s Choice prize with his photo of a Kingfisher “With His Catch”. We were also lucky to have beautiful books donated as prizes by Natural History Book Service.
Thank you to all involved today and we look forward to another competition next year – keep taking the photos and please encourage children to get involved too.
