A Sense of Smell

Detail

Did you know that oak leaves smell quite different to sycamore leaves? Have you ever noticed the scent of a deer or fox whilst out on a walk?  Does the smell of cut grass bring back childhood memories?

According to new research the smells experienced in nature can help boost psychological well-being, making us feel relaxed, joyful, and healthy.  Immerse yourself in smells on this gentle, sensory, 2 hours walk in Monkton Combe and Tucking Mill exploring smells in nature.

Please note there is limited parking in the village.  Please walk to the venue or car-share where possible.  There are toilets at the beginning and end of this walk.

Please bring:

  • Warm enough clothing for the weather
  • Sturdy footwear
  • Camera (optional)
  • Notebook & pen (optional)
