3 About Wild About Bath and this Policy
This website (www.wildaboutbath.org) is owned and controlled by Wild About Bath, a community group founded by Ann Stuart and Christine Absolon (“we” or “us” or “our”). We are committed to protecting your Personal Data and making every effort to ensure that your Personal Data is processed in a fair, open and transparent manner.
Our purpose is to encourage people in the Bath area to appreciate nature, conserve local wildlife and in doing so, to build and strengthen our community ties. We will not sell your personally identifiable data or share it with anyone.
We are a “data controller” for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 2018 and EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (“Data Protection Law”). This means that we are responsible for, and control the processing of, your Personal Data. Since our data processing is small scale, does not involve special categories or criminal data and we are not a public authority or body, we do not require a Data Protection Officer.
This policy relates to the privacy of our users (“user” or “you” or “your”). It sets out how Wild About Bath uses and protects any information when you use this website. It is intended to be strictly in accordance with the Data Protection Commissioner’s Code of Conduct for Data Collectors. Your use of this website is subject to the terms and conditions set out in this policy and by using the website you show your agreement to such terms.
Your information may be visible to individuals who perform services for us or on our behalf, including administration, data analysis, website coding and design. We refer to these as our “Wider Support Team” and they are bound by the same Privacy Practices as we are.
The site is hosted by WordPress, so we refer you to the WordPress Privacy Notice. We use Mailchimp as our email management system, for details please see the Mailchimp Privacy Notice.

Any changes we make to our Privacy Policy will be posted on this page in order to ensure that you are kept informed of what information we collect, how we store and use it and under what circumstances we disclose it. We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the Personal Data you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse. Any information disclosed online is vulnerable to interception and misuse by unauthorized parties. Therefore, we cannot guarantee complete security if you provide Personal Data.

6 How do we collect information about you?
We currently collect information about you in 3 ways as listed below. For each of these, a full description of why we need the data, our lawful basis for storing it and how long we will keep it for are given in the next sections. In a later section, we will lay out your rights under data protection law.
6.1 Contact Form
We ask you to provide your name and email address when you fill out our Contact form.
6.2 Newsletter Subscription
We ask you to provide your name and email address when you Subscribe to our Newsletter.
6.3 Gardening for Wildlife Certification Questionnaire
If you choose to submit your answers to our Gardening for Wildlife Certification Scheme Questionnaire, you will be providing us with Personal Data such as your Name, Email Address and Full Postcode. We will also store automatically gathered information, such as your IP address and device details. We will, of course, hold your questionnaire answers as well.
7 What do we collect, how do we use it, and how long will we keep it for?
7.1 Contact Form
If you choose to fill out the Contact Us form we will store and retain the data as follows:

7.3 Gardening for Wildlife Certification Scheme
7.3.1 Personal Data
If you choose to fill out the Gardening for Wildlife Questionnaire, we will store and retain the Personal Data detailed in the table below, for contact, analysis and research purposes only. Examples of how we use your data are given in the following table.
As the data is to be used for Research and Analysis, we are entitled to retain the data for as long as the scheme runs, unless you withdraw your consent for us to retain it. Please see the Lawful Basis section that follows.

8 Lawful Basis for Data Processing
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful basis we rely on for processing this information is your consent.
By sending us a Contact message or Subscribing to our Newsletter, you are consenting to us sending you emails and therefore consenting to us storing your data for this purpose.
If you no longer wish to receive our Newsletter, please use the Unsubscribe or Manage your preferences option within an email, or email us at info@wildaboutbath.org.
When you choose to Submit your Gardening for Wildlife data, there is a message to make it clear that you are consenting to us storing your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
You are able to remove your consent at any time or ask us to amend your details or remove your details from our files, within the website and any data analysis systems that we may use. 9 Your data protection rights
Under data protection law, you have rights including:
Your right of access – You have the right to ask us for copies of your Personal Data.
Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask us to rectify information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.
Your right to erasure – You have the right to ask us to erase your Personal Data in certain circumstances.
Your right to restriction of processing – You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your information in certain circumstances.
Your right to object to processing – As we are using ‘Consent’ as the lawful basis for processing, you do not have the right to object to processing. However, you do have the right to withdraw your consent.
Your right to data portability – You have the right to ask that we transfer the information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.
You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
